Adrian Esquivel
Flute - Piccolo - Woodwinds
Adrian Esquivel received his Bachelor of Music Education and performance degree from New Mexico State University, where he studied with Dr. Lisa Van Winkle. He later plans to get his master's in music performance. He has performed in various ensembles during his time at New Mexico State University. He’s held the piccolo position at the collegiate level and has served as principal flutist of the NMSU Wind Symphony, NMSU Philharmonic Orchestra and Gilbert & Sullivan El Paso symphony orchestra. His dream is to pursue a professional orchestral career and have a teaching background for better support. Adrian teaches for J Sharp School of Music and is a guest clinician in the surrounding Albuquerque and Los Lunas public schools.
Tyler Blair
Guitar
Tyler specializes in classical guitar techniques but also ventures into other genres and works with students of all ages and skill levels. A skilled guitarist and graduate of University of New Mexico, Tyler has a minor in western music theory. He is inspired by the playing and composition of French classical guitarist, Roland Dyens and finds playing music to be a source of relaxation.
Richard Springer
Saxophone - Clarinet - Beginner Piano - Special Needs Enrichment
Born and raised in Valencia County, Richard has a long musical background. He began playing clarinet in sixth grade and followed his passion for music to New Mexico State University. Richard currently works with neurodivergent students and has a heart for their success. When teaching, he enjoys helping others chase their passions and grow their confidence. Personally, he loves playing the bass clarinet and tenor saxophone.
Briana Aldridge
Group Art Classes and Events
Brianna Aldridge was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and began her professional career in art while earning her Associates Degree in Fine Arts at Central New Community College. During her time in school, she was President of CNM's Art club and the assistant to the director of CNM's Ceramic Studio. Brianna was one of the top in her graduating class, and through her academic success. She became a national recipient of Coca-Cola’s New Century Gold scholarship. Since graduating, she regularly displays paintings through art galleries across the Albuquerque area, as well as sells art through commissions. Brianna is also a mother to two rambunctious girls, who lovingly admire all of her artistic ventures! Through motherhood is also where Brianna gained a passion for teaching art, and has found a deep purpose in sharing the skills that she has gained over the years !
Gina Wallace
Piano - Trumpet - French Horn
Gina enjoys seeing the "Aha!" moment when a concept is understood and the joy on a students face when they've finally tackled that hard piece. Gina started with music at the young age of seven. She took band from 5th grade through college and graduated with a degree in music education. Gina has lived many places and continued to be involved in music through all of them; trumpet and French horn in a "posaunenchor" (brass choir) for an Evangelical church in Germany and a Moravian church in Pennsylvania, organ in several church congregations, occasional choir directing, and playing instruments with her family. She helps locally with the Belen school musical in the spring.
Cathy Terranova
Voice - Beginner Violin - Special Needs Enrichment - Studio Manager
With a long history of voice training in school and participation in theater, Cathy brings her enthusiasm for the arts center stage for each of her students. She has been teaching music lessons for the last ten years. Cathy is from the Washington DC area and has made New Mexico her home. Locally, she is a member of The Mansion Players theater group. She is also the studio manager and is happy to help with any questions you may have!
Tyler Roberts
Clarinet - Group Classes
Tyler Roberts has a Bachelor's of Music degree in Music Performance on clarinet from Carson-Newman University, and is a current Master of Music student in clarinet performance at UNM. While at Carson-Newman University, Tyler won several music competitions; two in musical composition and one in music performance. Also at Carson-Newman Tyler performed with every instrumental music ensemble as well as in the Scruffy City Orchestra. Tyler was also a consistent solo performer during his bachelor's degree, performing on the recital hall stage several times a semester. Since moving to Albuquerque, Tyler has joined the University of New Mexico Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra. Tyler uses his music education background to teach our kids classes. As the lead teacher for children's music, he works hard to ensure that your students are getting quality music education as well as having fun!
Macario Chavez
Guitar - Ukulele - Beginner Bass
Macario has lived in New Mexico his whole life and has been involved with music since he was a child. During this time, he has played a variety of stringed instruments; acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar and ukulele. Macario participated in an advanced orchestra in middle school playing the viola. He uses his knowledge and experience to help others enjoy music as much as he does. For the future, Macario hopes to become a session musician for recording studios.
